Judge Thompson and American Legion Recognize Local Public Service Personnel Honorees


Judge Thompson assisted the American Legion Post 108 in recognizing Employees of the Year from local law enforcement and emergency response units in a special ceremony held Thursday evening (March 5, 2015). Special recognition was given to Sheriff Homer Bell for 33 years of service to the local community. Mayor Billy Trapnell and County Administrator Bill Lindsey thanked the honorees on behalf of the community. American Legion members Tim Wood, post Adjutant and Probate Court Judge, American Legion member made the presentations as part of the American Legion's observance of Public Safety Personnel Recognition Week. "These local heroes are vital to the role and interplay of the Judicial Branch and it is an honor to be able to recognize them for their service," said Judge Thompson.
